Here Is Our New Amended Rule For Returning/Post Marking Targets For Return;

6.a. IMPORTANT - Returning Targets (for score) must be returned on, or before, or post marked, no later then the 15th day of the following month. EXAMPLE: April's targets would have to be "Post Marked" by the 15th of May to count for score...

The reason for this amendment to our Rule for "Returning Targets" for score is that folks who join in our Postal Matches live all over the place and quite often the months of (April, May, and October) the weather is many times, not very cooperative.

I'm sure that many of us will find this new "Target Return Rule" very useful.

Example / Return Schedule:

April targets are due/post marked - No Later Then May 15
May targets are due/post marked - No Later Then June 15
June targets are due/post marked - No Later Then July 15
August targets are due/post marked - No Later Then September 15
September targets are due/post marked - No Later Then October 15
October targets are due/post marked - No Later Then November 15

July Mike Fink Targets Due/Post Marked - No Later Then August 15

This Rule Is In Effect Immediately!

Note; This also allows all entries to shoot (for example) their April targets in April or within the May mailing deadline, and their May targets within the first 14/15 days of May - thereby getting both sets "Post Marked and Mailed on the 15th day of May (or earlier in May) and save on postage by mailing both sets at the same time."  So this is another benefit of this new Rule...

I really feel this new Amendment to our Rules fits our Organization much better.

I know that many of us have a ways to go to get to our local Range, (as where I'm fortunate to only be about 1.25 miles from mine), and finding the time, and gas prices (that will surely be on the rise) this 45 day cycle just helps all of us, and many of us (if not all of us) have job and family commitments, weekend events to attend, and of course the weather always plays a big part. Yes, IMHO this is a much better fit for all of us, and our Postal Match.

Well, I leave the merit of the rule to your good judgment and discretion as National Match Director, Joe...At least in my case, it may help me in getting my targets in.
