Well I can certainly understand why the capote was so popular in the Rockies fur trade.
Pretty warm and dry in nearly 2ft of snow.

There was a time when I lived for the winters.  The colder and the snowier, the better.  I looked forward to the first snow of the year and hated to see the last snow melt.
But that was B. A.

I was the same way back in my skiing days. Don't have the legs for it anymore.

I think I may be starting to see a pattern here with advancing age and colder weather!    :laffing

So THAT's where all our snow is!  None here.  Nada.  Zilch.  Rain on top of rain.  Bah!

I used to do a lot of cross country skiing, snow shoeing and, of course, dog sledding.  I still have the skis, up in the rafters of the garage, but they haven't see any use in 22 years.
