Anybody ever make a pouch out of a Whitetail buck scrotum?
« on: October 25, 2008, 12:45:33 AM »
I tried this years ago as I wanted a ball pouch with some "flair".  My results were so-so, hence, my question.   Anybody ever make such a pouch before?   Heckuva first post, huh?

I bought one of the Uberti Hawkens a few years ago (old Western Arms/Allen Firearms guns) and some of the gear it came with was a moose scrotum, hair on.

A real good friend of mine who lives in Australia has given me a couple of kangaroo scrotums.  Nice thing about them is they do not have any seams.  They are OK, but not big enough to hold, how do I say this nicely?, very many big balls.  It seems to be just fine for .440's or smaller, but space for .715's is limited.  Only able to get two of them in there, but that's just about right, anyway.

But, to answer your question, no, I never have made any of them.

I shot a buck several years ago and told my wife I was going to make a bag from the scrotum and put it on my gear shifter of my pickup. she said that if I did she woud never drive my truck! She hasn't driven it since, and its great when people get in my truck and touch it and say "What's this?" then I can say "don't touch my nut sack"
