Now I ask you...have you ever tried to get a good cheek to stock weld while wearing floaties?  Well have ya?

Al, I have never worn floaties while shooting but it's something I might consider if I have room in my shooting bag. Where I'll be shooting at in 8 to 9 days from now - the canyon is prone to humidity and possible flash flooding. Perhaps I'll have to get one of those belly tubes - blow it up - and hide it under my Rondy clothes? Granted, I may look like a walking String Top or a pear with little legs, but safety first! Your explanation just may safe me some day from getting washed down the canyon...   :bow

Joe, with the picture of you I have in my head right now, getting washed down the canyon might be the better option.

I hate having to demonstrate my ignorance, but what are "floaties"?  I have lots of boat time with type I, II, III & IV PFDs (life vests), but never have I heard of a "floatie" before....

I believe they are inflatable rings that kids wear on their upper arms when they are learning to swim. Or, I could be completely wrong.  :laffing

No wonder I didn't know what they are.  I learned to swim so long ago I don't remember ever NOT being able to do so.:laffing  And those things hadn't been invented yet!
