Joe did you ever get this one out to shoot after the latest modifications?

I did, and it shot well.  :bl th up

However, not being happy with having to wrap the cheek piece with leather,,, this rifle and I spent last week going over it without the leather cover on the cheek piece and I found the problem...

In my haste to get my retirement rifle finished, I over looked one thing (you get older and things happen),,, anyway,,, my butt-plate was canted a tad so I corrected that and it shoots wonderful without the leather cover... It now just shoulders perfect and where it seemed I had to fight this darn rifle to keep it from "canting" - it now shoulders and shoots great!

Thanks for asking, Bull...  :shake

NOTE: Even the smallest of cant will ruin accuracy, and aging eyes sometimes miss things that are obvious after one scratches their head enough.  :laffing

PS... Correcting the Cant also lead to making new front and rear sights.
