Now that is cool! Do they still make these barrels? Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't TC make a .56 cal smoothbore at one time for their Hawken?

 They don't make this barrel anymore  And it's never been fired yet.

Yes they did make 56cal smoothbores for a short time. I have one but have not shot it yet. I'm thinking tree rats.  :)

The information I found indicated that they made them for a short time when BP seasons were first being allowed and several east coast states limited BP guns to smoothbores for deer just like the modern guns. That got straightened out fairly quickly and TC stopped making the guns.
