Bag lining

I've lined a couple of bags already.  They have turned out good. i would show pictures I'm not sure how to post them. Any way, are they any good site that pictures I've been to Contemporary Longrifle Association site are there any others?  my question is, is the flaps aways lined as well as the body?[/img]

Nothing is "always" done. Some flaps were lined,some not. Some body's were lined,some weren't.  Diversity is the key.

Kinda what floats your boat Chaff, I occasionally line a flap with leather on the inside if the weight of the leather I'm using is a little limp or the customer requests it, other than that , no rule of thumb that i can figure out.

I'm just guessing here , but my take is that boughten oir custom bags were more likely to be lined  .  For me , the lineing is just a prroblem  , sooner or later you'll catch a hole in the lining and it'll keep getting in the way , Lining the flap as mentioned can have a practical purpose . The lining in the bag also would tend to take much longer to dry out if caught in heavy rain or a  dunking in crossing  water .  I know lining can make a pretty bag  , but for real field use I like mine without it .
