What guns did the Metis generally carry? Is their any documentation on them having/using Hawken rifles? This is not for me, but a friend. He's doing research on it, and he's come across some evidence that they did. What's your take on this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.  :shake

There are many groups of Metis in Canada the USA and Mexico . Unless things have changed in the last few years / the RedRiver  Matis are the only group regarded as a tribal group by any National Goverment (Canada) .
