Big thanks to Beaverman!
« on: August 09, 2011, 04:09:34 PM »
BeaverMan once recommended a sharpening system called "WorkSharp 3000" Well,I decided to get off my wallet and buy one with a leather strop attatchment and Knife sharpening att. WHAT A GREAT MACHINE!!! Sharpening chisle's was the one aspect of gun building I HATED with a PURPLE PASSION!!!!! This tool is AWSOME! I've tried darn near every sharpening aid that's out there and they worked "SO-SO" I spent @ 4 hrs re-sharpening all my chisles and they have NEVER worked so well. I get the tool near the wood and the wood seam's to just get out of the way.

A HUGE thank's to Jim for his recommendation,THANKS JIM!!!!! :toast

They talk about it on a lot of the wood working forums as being the best mechanical sharpener. I have thought about it, but havn't really given it due consideration. I suppose I am accustomed to the sandpaper and sharpening jig routine.
