Am in the process of making this salt horn.  Need to know how to clean and seal inside of horn for use. Thanks! BH

Sand it and then use steel wool. If you really want to seal up the inside, what I have done in the past is prior to attaching the wood is melt some beeswax and coat the inside using a small brush. It also helps seal up the plugs. Its looking good!!

Allen, I think the sealing with beeswax at the seams is good ( to seal against moisture), but I don't think any other coating is necessary on the inside. I have read all I could find on forums about salt/rum/spice horns and haven't heard anyone talk of a need to add anything for any spice, only liquids.
I have only built two, and no complaints so far.
hopefully someone with more under there belt will chime in soon.
Nice horn by the way   :toast

Now that's downright handsome!

I realize you / we call it a salt-horn for a reason, but how many other uses can you imagine this little jewel being used for?
