Ky Pistol Build

my wife got me a 13 inch  x .54 cal Swamped Pistol Barrel from Jim Chambers for Christmas
I got my stock blank from Muzzleloader Supply 90-100 % curl
a Small Siler Flintlock from TOW
This is my first attempt at a pistol build, looking forward to the challenge
I ordered Mike Millers dvd , should be here tomorrow.

Good choice on parts,  it'll help a lot to draw up a full scale plan--so everything fits where it's supposed to. good luck...

update on progress.

did a few cuts today and started inletting the barrel, so far so good.
This is my first attempt inletting a swamped barrel, or any barrel so I'll be going slow.

I got the barrel and tang inletted , ramrod hole drilled, ready for the next step!

I have the barrel pinned in place and the lock inletted.
Going to start making a single trigger and plate next.

I'm browning the barrel after draw filing and sanding.
I made the frt and rear sights, left them tall for sighting in.
Used Wah-kon Bay Tru-Brown, I used it on my Flintlock rifle and loved the results, very nice antique brown.
I used Wah-Kon Bay Aqua-Fortis for the stock, after the heat was applied I put a good coat of Homler Dangler's Colonial Red Stain and started
rubbing in the Wah-Kon Bay Tru Coat.
