I strongly believe that the old sayin "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" holds true for anything, and everything.
West Texas is thought of by many as being little more than blowing sand, cacti, and sidewinders, but there is a lot more to Tejas than just that.

The foot hills of the great Rocky Mountains start in El Paso with the Franklin and Oregan (pronounced oregoun) Mountains that extend into New Mexico, and has long been know as Paso del Norte, or the pass to the North.
The highest peak of the Franklin Mountains in El Paso rises 7,100 foot, and every kid in the county comes of age in the Franklin's.

There is a lot of history in West Texas.

Thanks Uncle Russ. Wyman does a fantastic job showing the wild life and scenery of Texas. He has great articles in Texas Parks and Wildlife magazine especially wild horse pictures. Met him thru a friend of mine in Lubbock. Oh he has some great dust storm photos also. BH
