24 Bore short fowler

Heres what's on my bench.  .570 X 26" tapered round barrel.  Maple full stock from a block.  Chambers delux Siler lock.  Steel trim by me, except butt plate.  have a look and comments taken "mostly" anyway.  Click to see more pics.......Tom

That will make someone a GREAT everything gun for here in Mississippi. Shotgun for squirrels, doves, etc and a 58 cal round ball for deer, hogs, coyotes and the feral cats you find in the woods. Very nicely done Tom. It turned out pretty as do all your efforts in the gunmaking vein. Keep up the good work as it's fun to watch a master doing his thing so us less talented folks can watch and dream of things that could have been. Maybe in my next life????

The lock was already on hand, AND it's one of the best available.  Fowler made by a German smith in  Pennsylvania before the Rev. war.....My thoughts anyhows...Tom
