BUT, she's out and cleaned up and sized up and lubed up back in .... time to make thunder, smoke 'n' fire!  :oops: won't do that no more!

At least I know now that it will come out, easy-peazy too!

This just might come in handy if someone is looking, and not sure just what they're looking for.

The best I can tell the new flash hole liner I found on my bench could well be a 5/16-24.
It is obviously new, but I can't find the packaging. It must have come in a bubble-pack, fell out, and I tossed the packing, but I can't remember the stupid thing at all.
Don'tcha just hate when that happens!

That liner would definitely be for a US made gun rather than a Spanish or Italian "import" if you are correct about the threads.

But....why on earth would I be buying that?  

   I'm thinking a good deal of ignorance came into play here when that puppy ended up on my bench.
Betcha I got it thinking "that looks like it'll  fit" forked over a few bucks and took it home....
Still yet, I don't remember it, that's me story and I'm stickin to it!

Makes it a little easier to get some of these things past the wife when you need an excuse to buy a new muzzleloader.

I kinda like the idea now that I have a flash-hole liner, I really do need a rifle to go with it!

hah!  you guys are too much!  but i like yer thinking .... hmm, i have a few extra ramrods i made for the 20ga, and a .58 ball mould, and a .54 ball mould - heck, now i need a BUNCH more guns!  HAHAHA!  does the fun ever end?       :hey-hey

that stuff is a nice mess. Especially as it squeezes out of the threads when you tighten down and powder sticks to it.

Plumbers tape works amazingly well and is mess free.

Like pappy said about fat girls... Don't knock it till you've tried it.

My flintlock liners get it as well, only they do not get the slight overlap at the end.
