This sure takes me back. Good times at Chadron Fur Trade Days (2005)! We had some really good camps for sure and you'd meet the most interesting people.

My favorite rendezvous' happened in Idaho, from 1978 forward.  The Coeur d'Alene Muzzleloaders had their first one Memorial Day, 1978 and it continued in that site until about 2007 or 08, I think.  Happenings there were weddings, scattering of ashes of departed members, great shooting matches, awesome potluck dinners, church services, and for several years, the men of the club prepared breakfast for the camp.
Second favorite RDV was put on by the Moscow club.  Their final site (still in use, I think) had what was my favorite trail walk.
Third favorite was the one at Polebridge, MT.
Have yet to go to a bad rendezvous in over 40 years.  Some are just better than others.
