Lighter, definitely,  and a little easier to get the patched balls in and out. Counter sinking the holes a bit helps too.

I make mine about 3/8 to 7/16 inches thick. They are nowhere near as fancy as you guys make. Nice work!  :hairy

 :Doh! Silly old me!  I could have looked in his profile to see his last visit.

Still yet,  many times there are ever binding friendships made here in the brotherhood, and one Member will know a bit more about a person than anyone else...this time I was thinking that person just may have been Rondo.
And then, at times, problems pop-up that the so-called "missing" person just doesn't want to discuss in public, if ya get my drift.

Our Membership Roster looks more like the Geriatric Roster at the local Hospital...us old coons are rather fond of our stinkin ol' smoke poles, and we seem to appreciate all the others who do the same, be they young or old.

In fact, Winter Hawk, iff'n it ever comes to you wondering why I've not been around for awhile, I would appreciate it very much if you would "Yell-Out" and check on me...and I promise to do the same for you.

As the younger generation might say; "That's how we roll 'round here".

Right!  It's been almost two months since he was here, maybe time for someone to PM or email him to make sure he's okay.  Of course that still may not work; I lost contact with a friend of many years, have no idea what happened and his email account doesn't seem to be active.  Last I heard from him he had become a truck driver and going long haul so he could build up a retirement fund.  I sure do miss that guy - gave him a Lyman GPR is how much I thought of him!

Thanks for thinking of me
We took on a couple more foster kids and things were overwhelming on the farm
Hate to say it but I didn't even shoot a gun this year
So I'll have to make up for it next year!!

I guess I'm more Catholic in my tastes & endeavors......... the only thing I did, besides boring the holes for several PRB's, was to counter-bore the flip side to fit the muzzle of the rifle I made it for.
