How well do you know your co-workers?
« on: June 26, 2017, 01:56:54 PM »
Today I wore my Fess Parker Memorial Shoot baseball cap to work today and one of my co-workers (who is a new hire and been at the store for 3+ weeks now) asked me about it. Well naturally I told her, and she told me she shoots a traditional flintlock rifle!  :hairy

I would have never guessed. We spent the last 10 minutes before I went to lunch, talking flintlocks, and I'm sure we'll talk some more this afternoon and many a days ahead. She also shoots a black powder pistol.  :bl th up

Always enjoy finding out when a person you know has the same muzzle loading interests. Who knows, maybe we'll have us another TMA Paper Silhouette shooter next year?  :bl th up

Well said my friend!
That goes for mine too, never in wildest dreams did I ever think I would having such a hard time getting to the range in order to shoot, but like many things in life you simply play the hand you've been dealt.

Uncle Russ...

It's the many things we don't do that totally sets us apart.

Joe,... you never know do ya.
I had a neighbor stop by about a week ago asking if I had any interest in renting some of my farm ground out.
While he was here, he asked me what I'd been up to,... I told him I've been gettin' ready for rendezvous.
He said,... "I didn't know you were into that sort'a stuff, I've got a flintlock that I've never been able to get to shoot."
I told him,.... I'd been playin' with'em for 40 years and to stop by with it sometime, and I'd see if I could help him out with it.

He was pretty excited by the time he left.  :laffing :bl th up

Yes sir, we just never know. Kind'a makes a feller wonder just how much of this sport/hobby of traditional muzzle loading is laying dormant since its hay-day?  :*:

Also found out today that my new co-worker also has gone to the same Rendezvous as I attend. Chadron Fur Trade Days. I expect if she wore her Rondy outfit to work, I'd a probably recognized her...  :shake :*:
