Well big smoke, I had computer issues last evening (wireless mouse wouldn't communicate with keyboard, etc.), so my answer was unnecessarily brief.  So here's the "full Monty" so to speak:  We first went to a local Brewery, Keegan Ales, where my wife had a glass of Pinot Grigio and I had a pint of Old Capital.  From there we went to an Italian restaurant, La Florentina, for wood-fired pizzas, etc.  Later, we watched the NY Yankees (pathetic!) lose to the Boston Red Sox.  Truth to tell, I stopped watching in the 8th inning.  Oh yes, I almost forgot, I was 74 yesterday. ;)

Amazing, I had mouse issues yesterday as well, and it wasn't even my birthday.
Sounds like a great time out with yer sweetie.
Wood fired pizza is the best.  We had one at a little restaurant called Luni's in Maschito, Italy this summer.  One of the best I've ever had.  My favorite style is deep dish and it was deep and a piece surely filled up a dish.  I'm ready to go back.
Again, happy birthday and many more to you.  And 74 isn't old, especially if you are a redwood tree.  lol   :laffing :applaud
