Nessmuk,... thank you for your service.  :shake

What kind/type of traditional muzzleloader/s are you shooting?
Are there any interesting living history events/muzzleloader shoots/rendezvous going on in your area?

I just got the lock off one of my NorthStarWest Trade Guns boxed up and ready to send to a fella to be professionally "tuned", he's located in/near Copan, OK.  :bl th up
I hope when I get it back, I'll be able to hit something with it.  :laffing

So.... do you shoot a Billinghurst rifle with a set trigger, 60 balls to the pound like your namesake?  :laffing :laffing :laffing

Welcome aboard!  Pull up a toadstool and warm yourself by the fire.  You'll find lots of good information here with camaraderie and the occasional pulled leg to boot.  Be sure to get in on the monthly postal shoots also!

I own a .45 cal T/C Hawken, a .36 cal T/C Seneca (shortened to "Canoe" length) and a .32 CVA Squirrel.
I wish I had a Billinghurst, I learned of Nessmuk when I saw the "Sairy Gamp" at the Adirondack Museum,
I bought a copy of "Woodcraft" at the museum gift shop. I was 10 years old at the time and my family owned
a Summer/Hunting cabin in the Adirondacks. I inherited it and spend my summers there.

I shoot with the Longrifles of the Canadian. I'm looking for more groups to shoot with out here and in the upstate New York area.

 :toast Thanks for the welcome.

Hey there,
You might want to give Gerry, owner of Powder Horns and More a call.  Contact info on the web page, www.powderhornsandmore.com  He is headquartered up there and probably has a finger on the muzzleloading pulse in the Upstate area.  He's a good guy and if nothing else, keep you supplied with cow horns.  Or finished horns.
Tell him I said hello.
