Rondo, I'm ready for Rendezvous
« on: January 03, 2019, 08:22:49 AM »
This morning I was looking at one of our Rendezvous camp pictures (I have more) from last year's Chadron Fur Trade Days.  I'm sure missing the doings and looking forward to this year's doings.  I've always felt and still feel that these events are the most relaxing, enjoyable, fun family and friends events I have ever done.  You do indeed meet the most generous and interesting folks at these gatherings. If you haven't experienced one of these events, I highly encourage you to give them a try. The friends and family memories you make are ever lasting for sure.  :bl th up

Early morning in camp. You can see the the campfire smoke drifting in the air as the day is about to begin with coffee & breakfast.

No better place to be then at a Fur Trade Rendezvous   :hairy

I agree with ya Joe,.... for folks who enjoy traditional muzzleloaders, primitive camping doubles the enjoyment.  :hairy :*:

Did I tell ya, Steve is building me another (snakey) Osage Orange bow? This'n will be a "Horse Bow", 'bout 55" long, 50-60 lbs. draw weight, with sinew and rattle snake backing.  :applaud :*:  :bl th up

Here's a picture of the stave so far, still at 60".  :)
