18th Century Weddings
« on: January 23, 2020, 04:08:34 AM »
I have the opportunity to do a mid 18th Century Virginia Wedding. The couple are both historians and living history buffs, and the wedding will be faithful to the period and held at Patrick Henry's home at Scotchtown, Virginia.

If anyone has any information on period weddings we would appreciate seeing it. The couple are portraying upper-class gentry, while I will be an Anglican priest. I have several articles on 18th Century Weddings but am always looking for more.

Thanks for any help you can offer. The wedding will be a part of a historical event at Scotchtown, so we all want it to be as "correct" as we can make it.
