TURN
« on: August 27, 2020, 05:50:36 PM »
I just discovered a series called TURN, a TV series about the AWI. I don't watch much TV but I found it on Netflix the other day. Interesting. Have not had a chance to check facts from the series.

Is that TORN or TURN?
I have watched Turn, but not the entire series.
Lots of guns, most appear to be Springfield Muskets, but I have seen some I couldn't readily identify.

Either way, the series is a good one.

Respectfully, Russ...

I use to watch that series. I think it ran about 3 seasons if I recall, then just ended...

Lately I've been "re' watching" on You Tube, the old Sharpe's Rifles series... You have to kind'a piece the episodes together, but it's worth it as it beats 99% of what's on TV these days for entertainment, (least ways for my interest). Lot's of flintlock action...

I also watch the old Fess Parker "Danial Boone" TV series on You Tube, along with other old westerns and other movies...  :hairy

Well I just finished watching the TURN spy series of the AWI on Netflix last nite. I must say that I enjoyed it. Will have to get the DVD set to watch again in the future.

Now I have to find something else to watch. Any suggestions?

If I remember correctly, a new movie was supposed to come out several years ago based around the story of John Smith and Pocahontas, called "The New World" (I think).
I did see the trailer of the movie and it looked pretty good, but I haven't seen the movie.

Maybe someone else has more info.  :bl th up
