Over the last 4 to 5 weeks where I live, we've had a taste of all the seasons;

Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring, and now yesterday and today we're back to summer...

The old saying, "wait five minutes and the weather will change" well, I believe that to be true where I live!

Here in the central coast area of beautiful LaLaLand we have been under a pall of fog for the last week or so.  It is tinted with forest fire smoke and fly ash.  Our Air Quality Index is now registered at 199, which is the top of the Unhealthy for everyone range.  The next range is purple which probably means, "You gonna die, sucka !!! Breathe deep."  Where oh where is that wonderful LaLaLAnd sunshine???

John, haven't seen the sun for 3 days, literally! high temps yesterday and today in the mid 60's normally in the 80's , low temps due to the smoke blocking the UV rays, Bigsmoke?, yea we got a butt load of it, have stayed inside for 3 days now and eyes are burning and scratchy throat due to the imported smog from California and Oregon!!!!!!!

I feel for you folks on the left coast and inland... From what I've seen on the news it has to be terrible.  You all stay safe and you're in our prayers.

Just checked our Air Quality Index and it is 279, which is bad enough.  The title of the classification is "Very Unhealthy".  Yeah, no kidding.
I talked with a good friend who lives on the edge of the Creek Fire last night and he said their AQI was over 600.  Even inside it was difficult breathing and their eyes were burning and watering.  Really now, is that right?
Latest update is 212,700 acres and 10% containment.
Really, I should be concentrating on the Dolan fire in Big Sur,  but my heart is in the high mountains, not the sea shore.  And so it goes.

Breaks my heart to seen the images and hear about the vast amounts of forests going up in flames. I am truly sorry for the lives lost and the property damage...but the devastation of the forests is jut maddening to me...
