If you have about a full hour, this video is (IMHO) worth a watch - being about historic accounts of the use of the, Tomahawk...

I've seen these. They are very good. He really likes tomahawks.

With his video's and research being taken from "recorded" historical and everyday events - the use of the tomahawk as a throwing weapon is no longer (IMHO) - speculation...

Well, I watched both episodes and I question the validity of some of his conclusions. Remembering that his sources are newspapers in areas far from London and farther from the Americas, newspapers often reprinted stories from other newspapers which were in turn reprinted from others. Remember the children's game "Telephone"? Embellishment in newspapers of that time period was a high art.
His stories about hand to hand combat with tomahawks, I find preeminently believable. Throwing Tomahawks at troops charging with Bayonets? 50 yard throws with deadly accuracy? C'mon Mate, Pull the other one.

But then I'm just an amateur historian, too.
I'm  not  H/C or P/C or even a particularly  good shot but I have a hell of a good time!
