Thanks for that.
I'll be turning 80 in a few months and am constantly amazed with how much I don't know yet.  I did know three of those words, but the rest left me scratching my previously hair covered head.

as an inveterate puzzler, i knew most of these words. They're just taking up space in my brain, I seldom use them. you must admit INTERROBANG is a fun word.

I agree, and I think overmorrow is a great word too. I wonder if it ever was used very much and if so where.

Not only had I never heard of the word, I don't recall ever seeing a question mark followed by an exclamation mark.

I forwarded that list of words to a friend of mine and as a way to say thank you, she gave me a subscription to something called A Word A Day.  It starts tomorrow.  I can hardly wait.  Pretty soon, I might even start to sound intelligent, or maybe just affected.

I recall on The Tonight Show when Johnny Carson said something about he always thought a Spiro was something that natives threw.

OK, that also.  IIRC, Johnny had a lot of fun with good old Spiro.  Johnny was no doubt the best host of the Tonight Show.  And his band was the best also.  Doc was terrific on trumpet and his tenor sax player wasn't too shabby either.

My oh my, I cannot believe how far this has strayed from the original topic.  But it's been fun.
