Shooting bench plans
« on: September 16, 2025, 03:23:50 PM »
I'm sure the veteran shooters have one but maybe not and it sure helps on the long shots. It helps when sighting in a new gun as well. The new shooters may find it helpful until the offhand shooting is mastered.

Nice bench Dennis. That thing has everything but the kitchen sink. I like how it's ambidextrous. Is that the bench you use at your residence.

No it is not. I don't remember where or when I copied the plan but if I ever do build another, it'll be this one. The first attached picture shows my daughter shooting my under hammer. She shoot it about three times and declared that the gun was hers from now on. I do miss that under hammer. The second shows my granddaughter shooting the under hammer. The bench is one I made using pipe legs that store under the top and it has three legs so it'll set up on uneven ground.

Can't think of anyone better to give your under hammer to. If I owned property I could shoot on, either of those benches would work fine. But I'll just have to use what the gun club provides. And they work just fine also. Although you have to be careful around those made of concrete. [ Invalid Attachment ]
