« on: January 27, 2026, 12:37:49 AM »
Yes, Virginia there will be a 2026 Postal match. I've been working up targets and rules for a couple months now. If you have idea or Targets you.d like to share post them here.
I'm  not  H/C or P/C or even a particularly  good shot but I have a hell of a good time!

Mark, I thought one of us participants should comment on your post. Thank you for telling us we will once again be having a postal shoot this year. I was looking forward to hearing that. Your track record of being our fearless leader speaks for itself. You've done a wonderful job and I don't see any reason that this year would be any different. Thank you, and just as soon as I can round up some thermal underwear for my muzzleloaders, I'll be going to the range to get a little practice in. And I also don't have any problems with your choice of targets. If I can see them, I'll throw some lead at them. :bow  :bl th up :applaud

And I am really looking forward to our shooting range to open up so I can shoot the targets.
So far, it is anything but open, but hope springs eternal. :pray:

I'm looking forward to trying my hand at this, when the weather gets better. Right now the sun is shinning and it's not real windy. The bad part it's 1 above zero.

My locale is sunk in with mountains of snow that have yet to melt due to single digit to teen temperatures.  And even if there was a thaw (please!!!) it's too damn cold to be messing with guns, let alone flitners!  Bah humbug - when the heck is the warm weather gonna kick in???

BUT, looking forward to punching some paper with the Kibler 16ga fowler ... and soon the .75 Bess!

I'm ready for another round, still have to work up a load on the auction.45 percussion rifle.
 Recently heard through the grapevine goex will not be making powder for the civilian market in 2026
So the less powder I use the better.
But then again I'm making my own so I guess it don't really matter.

The price of real black powder is gonna take off in the coming years, no question.

Probably be harder to find, too.  ;banghead;

I don't worry about that much any more.  8)

I guess this question would be for our NMD Nessmuk. Do you have any idea which month you will be starting our postals ?

Great Mark, thank you!

Maybe start a new thread for the rules and target, to make it easier for folks to get to the point and post an "I'm in!" reply ... plus I'll put up a banner link direct to the new thread.
