Lyman GPR Front Blade sight

I want to replace the front sight on my GPR; it's a 12 minute sight, width-wise ( or more- I haven't sighted a yard stick ); my question(s):

Is the dovetail a standard milling size, or do they vary?

I saw Track had many choices. By chance, has anyone done this to good effect? I favor a German silver/brass combination.

When I owned  GPR I took a file to the front site to make it more narrow.  That gave me a better site picture.  

Making a dovetail larger to fit a wider site base is pretty easy to do.  Make a safe sided dovetail file and work slow.  

Or just buy the one that fits.

What about the rear sight? What would be appropriate for a flinlock GPR?  I want to get rid of that adjustable deal and go with fixed.  

I know the GPR is not 100% HC, but I want to be a bit more period correct on this fine  rifle.

I would not ever enlarge the dovetail in a barrel to install a sight.  File the sight base a TINY bit at a time until it  will go in with light hammer blows.

Filing the bottom flat of a sight base will easily make it smaller.  

Think about removing the bottom row of blocks on a pyramid.
