Hoot,
Have you tried T/C,DGW or TOW??? I'm sure one or all of them could help
with your search.
        BTW,
Welcome to the TMA forum.Hope you will take a minute or so to introduce
yourself.

T/C used to offer a fixed rear sight, not sure if it was for the 1" barrel or the 15/16" one.
The front sight that comes on the Renegade is good for minute of boulder, but nothing much finer.  I kind of like the bead sight that comes on the Hawken.
The problem with the T/C is their rear sights screw on.  I would install two set screws in those holes and have a dovetail cut for a nice buckhorn sight.  They are readily available from a variety of sources.

Hi John I shoot in the N-SSA. I am just getting my feet wet in  round ball. I just bought a TC Renegade. It has a fiber optic front sight. It has a Williams sight on the back. I have a flintlock CVA but I have never shot it. What kind of gun would you suggest that I start out with to shoot in competitions? Thanks, Allen

Not much in the way of info for N-SSA.  I think your best bet would be to get a copy of the rules so you are not guessing.  I would think that Zouaves, Springfield muskets, Colt muskets etc. would be what you will have to choose from.
The Renegade, while a fine gun, would not be copacetic in any primitive matches.  Both sights would keep it out.
Hope this is of a little bit of help.

OK, so what we need to decide is what type of round ball shooting are you interested in?
Primitive would be no adjustable sights, cannot think of any other rules that would limit you.  Some totally PC guys might not be excited about seeing a factory gun.
If you are in a trade gun match, obviously you could not have rifling and most exclude rear sights as well.
Most club matches might allow the fiber optic front sight, some would not.
Offhand matches usually have a weight limit of 12 or 14 pounds to the rifle.
Typically, black powder or synthetic can be used, but some clubs might not allow Pyrodex.
Just taking random thoughts as they rattle around the brain pan (it's a lonely place in there.)
Best bet is if you have questions, try to get in touch with someone that is familiar with the range and their rules.  It's easier to find out before hand than after the fact.  I was shooting a silhouette match at Friendship one time and stupidly used a rifle with a peep sight.  Much to my chagrin, I found out my very proud score would not be allowed.  Oh well, shame on me for not knowing what I was doing when I got there.
