Best wife ever I have the walkers to prove it

My wife has known of my fascination with the walker for a while so she saved an
scrimped an found these two walkers at the discount barn in our local Cabelas and bought them for me today
I couldn't be happier thought I would show them off here

If it's nice tomorrow I'll have to see how they shoot

Picked up some fresh lead and some wonder wads there as well

She's a keeper, for sure.
Think she would be interested in carrying them around for you as well?

Years gone by, I had one of them and really enjoyed shooting it.  I dovetailed the top flat of the barrel and installed a simple rear sight.  That helped accuracy a little bit.

Thanks she is a keeper
It helps that her father was a traditional muzzleloader and they shot together
She already knows what to expect from me

Had a chance with the kids to shoot a little today took one out and shot a couple doz rounds through it

it was shooting pretty high but I really didn't take time to work any loads or the front site

Shooting high is the story with the black powder revolvers.  You will either have to build the front sight up or do something to bring the muzzle down.  Get your load worked up before you start doing anything with sights.

Hope you have been enjoying your Walkers Lonewolfe. I only have one and I have found that I can fire it all day with 45-50 grains of fffg. More than that and either the wedge backs out or the loading lever drops... or both. Of course, that doesn't stop me from loading at least one full 60 grain charge before I call it a day!
