I hope all our Members have a safe and enjoyable weekend!
I am hearing sirens as I type this and that is never a good sign.
And, it's the main reason us local folks settle in, at home, on this very busy weekend.
This is the busiest weekend of the year for the folks here in my little town and it all starts a day or two before the holiday.
Hundreds, if not thousands of boats are everywhere you look, and they are here for one of two things, the fishing, or the water skiing.
The Chamber of Commerce has estimated we get between 12 and 15,000 visitors in town every 4th. of July because of all the lakes.
We have a large State Park
http://parks.state.wa.us/568/Potholes which connects to Moses Lake, which is over 18 miles long and a mile wide (
Moses Lake, Washington - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ) with literally thousands of camp sites, and this draws the crowds from the over populated Seattle, Tacoma, and Olympia side of the State.
My kids are always welcome, and they visit a lot, but I encourage them not to come on this weekend.
There's a lot of crazy people out there! Too many in fact.
So you folks be careful, be safe, and enjoy your families on this very important holiday.
