Have any of you folks had much experience with the Chambers small english round face lock? Recommended for small cal. rifles and most pistols.

IIRC, that lock uses small Siler internals. I have one of these locks with a "brass" (actually bronze) plate that's destined for a .40 with A-weight Rice 46" barrel.

This one is well made and tight, but doesn't spark for beans. Eats flints like candy. Averages one pan flash in every 3-4 hammer falls. And yes, it does use small siler parts.

I'd give Chambers a call Jeff, see what they have to say.

I have one in a pistol an it works smooth as a babys butt, throws a shower of sparks and so far very easy on flints. Give Jim or Barbie a call

I have three of them, two on rifles, one on a pistol. All work fine, and don't eat my flints. No idea why Buzzard is having a problem.

Doesn't spark well? I'd return it in a second. I use several Chambers flint locks (but not the little round face) and they are super fine. If yours isn't perfect, I'm positive Jim will want to know.
