CDA RDV
« on: June 13, 2024, 06:05:11 PM »
So our club, bigsmoke and myself, had our first RDV at our new site
John wanted an update so here goes .

The field of campers. I really was surprised there wasn't more canvas.

 Folks from orofino came out

 From the saddle

And look back down the firing line.
Just realizing I took Way more videos than photos.

That's me without a gun doing my RSO duties
Any ways, the site was great, level and dry. Easy access
As you can see the shooting stakes were in the open sun shooting into the shadows of the woods.
Lots of complaints about that. Definitely makes for tough shots.
We have permission for next year. Should only get better.
Had around 40 shooters, we expected more.
Well not much of a report but what's there to say.
I'm off to the palouse hill muzzleloaders RDV in Colfax Washington next weekend.
 Maybe I'll take more pictures.

Good photo's. Which smokepole did you take? Did you hit some targets?

I worked the range both days , 8 hours each. We are quite short on members and the ones we have are aging out to some extent.
In all actuality about 8 members put on this shoot.  No easy
The land owner would only allow shooting Friday and Saturday
So I never had a chance to shoot .
Kinda the main reason I'm going to the RDV in Colfax next weekend.

Good photos, Kevin.  Thank you for posting them.
Is Moscow doing anything this weekend?
The one in Colfax is good, you should enjoy.

I need an explanation Kevin. What is this orofino that you refer to?

Orofino is a small mountain town east of the famed town of Lewiston and Clarkston , yes that lewis and Clark.
they seem to be some pretty good shooters that bunch.
But that's it, just a little ol town in the mountains.
