I wonder if we will ever see caps on the shelves at sporting goods stores again. I'm getting discouraged about this and have sort of given up on shooting my revolvers and rifles.
I used to enjoy photography until they ruined it with digital stuff. Also rc model airplanes that you made of balsa and used glow engines - now they are made for you out of foam and have electric power.
I guess I'm just getting old and crabby.
Like that song said "Mama, don't take my Kodachrome away"!

10-4! Oh, wait, CB has gone the way of K-25 and 64, plus my beloved Ilford film, paper, and my darkroom, too. I'm going to hang on to my shooting hobby until they scatter my ashes. You're not old and crabby. It's very tough to stomach some of the backward improvements that modern society offers. Some months ago I was behind an old couple whose car plate was Kchrome. I pulled alongside and asked 25 or 64? All three of us laughed. I wondered how many people "got" their license plate.

It's sort of hard to believe, but here's what happened. A few hours after I posted that, I went to put gas in my little Bronco. I went to Fleet Farm and decided to go into the store part first and wandered over to the gun section. Hanging on those little hooks were a whole bunch of CCI #11 caps for $10.99!
 I bought one tin and said to the guy working there - gee this is amazing, these have been un-available for more than a year. He said they still have trouble getting 410 shot shells and when they get a few in, someone will buy the whole bunch. He figured they just took them to a gun show and doubled their money.
I guess I have to stop being crabby about caps now. But I'm still old

Jim, with the difficulty in getting caps, I would have bought more than one tin, especially if you are shooting revolvers.  Darn, I have three of them that I have never popped a cap on.  An 1862 Colt, an 1851 Colt and a Walker.  I guess I should cast up some ball and go make some smoke, but...  then I would have to clean them.  I don't have as much energy for that sort of stuff as I did when I was young.
