Anyone hear of these two?  They were Officers in the British Army sent on a secret mission to conduct a military survey of the HBC's Columbia District in 1845.  

Warre kept a sketch book and journal.  I have managed to get copies of two versions of both, one is titled, "Sketches in North America and the Oregon Territory" published in the 1970s and the other, "Overland to Oregon in 1845, Impressions of a Journey across North America by H.H. Warre" published in 1976.  

Has anyone found any books by Mervin Vavasour?  I know that he made a number of maps and site plans but I can't find any books by him.
