Epic saga of a Mountainman

I'm a mountainman born and bred
I roam high where the trees don't grow
I stay up there when others head down
at winters first hard snow.

I can sleep in the snow in ma buffler robe
rolled up as snug as can be.
When mornin comes I jus shake off the ice
I'm a mountainman wild an free

I eat painter, beaver, elk an buffler
It don't much matter ta me
meats meat when yer in the mountains
I'm a mountainman wild and free

I takes a bath most ever month
scub with a rock from neck ta knee
ice in the crick don't bother me none
I'm a mountainman wild an free

In the heat a summer I runs near neked
a breech clout hangs ta ma knee
the burnin sun makes ma hide like leather
I'm a mountainman wild an free

If'in ya ever come ta the shinin mountains
look high, that's where I'll be
trapin beaver an huntin elk
I'm a mountainman wild and free

We shoot black powder percussion or flintlock
We stand up for old glory and kneel in front of the cross
We like a cold beer and how some gals can really fill out a pair of daisy dukes
We cant walk by a card board box full of puppies
We love the mountains and our freedom
We are the ones that get called show up and do something
