Today is the 175th Anniversary of the Battle of San Jacinto.

Texas regular army and militia units lead by Gen. Sam Houston defeated forces of the Mexican Army of Operations led by President Atonio Lopez de Santa Anna.

The battle lasted 18 minutes, Santa Anna was captured the following day, and secured Texas Independence from Mexico.

Happy San Jacinto Day ya'll!!!
