Small Ballgrip Knife

Just finished this one.
4 3/4" Blade of 0-1 steel
4 1/8" Full Tang handle
Curly Maple slabs
Iron pins
Lightly aged

That is beautiful wood you used for the scales.  Just an odd tangent as far as knife making goes, but why did you choose to use O-1 steel for the blade?  Keep in mind that I know next to nothing about forging, knife making or the differences in steel, I am simply curious and wish to expand my knowledge base.

Thanks all for the kind words!

William, I use 0-1 due to its high carbon content and simplicity of Heat Treat, As well as its reputation when used for knife blades.
I also use A-2 for the same reason, But it is much more expensive.
