English Fowler still works
« on: January 06, 2013, 07:43:50 PM »
About 3 years ago I worked up a good shot load for my English Fowler (30 in. barrel), then field cleaned it,.... and reloaded it. Then I took it into the house and propped it up in the corner of our bedroom.

Today my wife finally got around to askin' me if I was gonna "leave thet gun sittin' there forever"?
I said "nope",... and promptly grabbed the fowler and stepped out the front door and blew a nice pattern in the snow drift in our front yard.

I didn't even refresh the 3 year-old primein' of 3FFFG,... but she lit right up.  :rotf  :rotf

Don't know that a 3 year old prime is any kind of record, but that is one heckofa good average!
