Brian Turner built me a cherry stocked .50 smoothrifle a few years back. I'd had this thing that I wanted a .50 cal smoothrifle with a 50" barrel by the time I was 50. Didn't make the age goal. I went for 46" when I was 56. Longhammock OTR barrel.

Mine likes a .480 ball, tightly patched. I can put 3 balls into a 3" circle from a rest at 50 yards. Don't ask about offhand.    Shot load is 50 grains of FFg Goex, 2 thin cards, equal volume #6-7.5-8. shot and another card on the shot. Good for bunnies and grouse out to 20 yards or so. I prefer it with shot for small game. Not getting a lot of use these days, but I love the gun.
