Was the Navy Arms Colt 1851 Navy .36 manufactured by Pietta or Uberti?  I believe it was Pietta, but I'm not 100% certain.

some were made by Uberti .
i have one i just finished converting to 38 long colt.
on the top of the barrel its stamped Navy Arms . but if you look under the loading lever , it says Uberti and carried the Uberti  manufacturing marks.
but you have to look and find at least the manufacturing markings to know for sure as i have heard that not all Navy Arms were made by uberti

Thanks for the tip, Cap.  It'll have to wait until I get back to the States at the end of the month for me to check it.

Uberti (now Beretta) has made the M1851 Colt Navy repros and still makes them at least for two dealers: Cimarron Firearms & Midway USA
Chuck Burrows aka Grey Wolf
