Garage sale find
« on: August 17, 2013, 01:20:40 PM »
Bought these two knives at a garage sale today for a buck each. One is Solingen, Arkansas Toothpick ( written on blade) , other is a Camilus K-Bar style with US and Camilus stamped on blade. Now to find some leather to make new sheaths.

Nice!  :lt th
Great price too....I like those kind of finds, but typically the guy just in front of me always takes 'em with him.

My good luck they were covered in crud and sitting in a bucket with a bunch of cheap knives and bayonets. I was able to read the maker names on both and bought them. Should have bought the rest of the knives, at a buck apiece, I could have made money on them. These two gems will pass on to my girls when I go under, hopefully not too soon!  I can't win on a dollar scratch lottery card, but sometimes even a blind squirrel findsanut.  ;)
