Thank you, sir...most stand-up on your part!

So, then what size stuff do you feed it?  Anybody know?  I'm gonna be in some card games on the river, with some pretty iffy rascals, and I'll need a little protection...!!!  LOL

That kinda depends, is it rifled or smooth, front stuffer or cartridge? What does the bore actually measure?

It's a muzzlelaoder.  Lookin at it right now...does not appear to have any rifling at the muzzle, and a rudimentary measure of the bore shows more like 11/mm, not 12/mm.

11mm is pretty darn close to 7/16 or 44 cal. Comes out to .433". There should be balls in the .420" neighborhood with an appropriate patch.

Do you have any .440" balls, intended for a 45? See if they drop down without a patch. Looks like TOW has a great assortment of balls in that range.

Thanks for asking.

I went round and round on this regarding a .44 that I have.  I did find some excellent sources for a wide range of diameters/sizes.  I'm sure I'll get something to match up.  I do wish the bore was rifled, but ce la vie...don't think the bad guys will be any further than 5 paces, or so...
