Bentleys Centre Fire Muzzle loader

Enclosed are three images of Bentleys  patent sxs muzzleloading shotgun which may be of interest to members .May I point out that this a muzzle loader and not a breech loader or a inline.

           Is'nt Bentley still around.Seems like I have seen that name,but associated
with something other than weapons,but also from the UK. :shake [/color]

It is the postion of the nipples  take a closer look  at the image  they are centre to the barrels and  not has a angle of the typical percussion gun

Thanks for the explanation.  In looking at it, I thought that might be what it was, but I guess I was also trying to make it more than it was.
I wonder why that design never really caught on?

The action is not "in-line", but it sure puts the ignition in line with the powder! That was what I meant...
