00 Buck in a .69 cal?
« on: February 22, 2016, 03:45:54 PM »
I just received a Fusil de Chasse from Jackie Brown.  I have owned smoothbores in .62 and .75 but this one is a .69.  To be exact, the bore measures .684".  Is it okay to shoot 00 Buckshot in it?  I was taught that 00 is okay in a 12 gauge but not in a 20.  This gun is in-between.  Advice appreciated.

I don't see why not.  .690 vs .720 isn't a lot of difference to my way of thinking.
I'd try it.
