Trade gun
« on: March 12, 2016, 08:17:10 PM »
Last weekend I traded a friend my 16 ga. for this trade gun which is a 20 ga. After the monthly ml match today, I gave her a go and was very pleased with the results.
Now my two smoothies are of common ga., a French Fusil (Francine) and a trade gun both in 20.

That sure does simplify matters.  Nice looking piece.  Good trade.

Thanks guys, I thought I had me a place to hunt turkeys but the land owner changed his tune and suddenly, now he hunts turkey when before he didnt. Oh well, I still have some time and have a couple places in mind.plus I need to fire a few more loads at varying distances to make shure it still has a good group.
What I tried yesterday was,70 g FF, clump of wasp nest, 1 oz of mixed shot, and another clump of wp nest. I had tried this in my fusil and it gave a better pattern than cards and wads, denser pattern.
Left target is with cards and wad,wad punched through, right target is wasp nest load.
