I always wanted to try and have a primitive biathalon in my neck o th woods. We get some pretty good snowfall and I know of some likely places to hold it. Fun times Riley!

I was just thinking... Even if a person did not have access to snow, or if a club just preferred to have a similar type event in good weather, there's no reason at all not to hold a "Primitive Run" based on the Primitive Biathlon. I think both would be enjoyable and that's what I'd be in it for, the pure enjoyment!  :hairy

I had a "Riley's Run" planned out at one point that involved other stuff besides shooting too. I will have to see if I still have that....

The dates are 2/17/19 for the Forts Folle Avoine biathlon (in conjunction with their trade fair) , and 2/24/18 for the GSR biathlon

If you want me to send you a flier, email me at riley@tradmla.org. GSR flier is attached, Folle Avoine flier is too big, I guess.

If you have prizes, please send them to:

I wish these would catch on like what the modern guys run.

I run (walk) a 5K biathlon in Pawnee Oklahoma, talk about fun.

I've talked to the organizers of the Pawnee event about doing a "primitive" run....they're open to it if I could provide the "runners".

So if anyone's interested, shoot me a PM.

Just checking to see if anyone has prizes lined up to donate. We are bout a month & a half from the Folle Avoine (Danbury, WI) event, with the GSR (Rochester, MN) event coming the following week.  The director up at the Fort is asking for a list of prizes, but I told her we might not have a complete list until the day of the event. I am going to try to get some prizes from all of our facebook groupies too...
