All you kids "chill out" and enjoy the cold weather....any weather, in fact.
Most of us are representing the geriatric side of this sport anyway and we should be thankful for every day we are on the upside of the grass, whether it's a bit cool, cold, warm, hot, no matter what the weather is, we gotta love it....'cause it's another day with black powder and white smoke, and this has got to be pleasing to the inner soul.

Well said, Uncle Russ! :lol sign :hairy :bow

Kinda hate to say it, but I guess I am a kid.

I'm only 49...

Bull, my friend, I actually have socks older than you... they might be a little holey, but they are just too comfy to do away with...same as my better half says about me... :lol sign

My last rendezvous we had a "youth division" for the shooting competition.  It was open to those 30 and under.  :Doh!

Were I to have a choice between a .70 caliber and a .50 caliber, I would take the .70 101 times out of 100.  There is just something about throwing a 500+ grain ball downrange that makes a .50 cal ball seem so insignificant.  It's kind of like driving a Yugo vs driving a Corvette.  They will both get you to the grocery store, but the ride in the Corvette is just so much more fun.  YMMV

I prefer my .32 since it  can go "to the grocery store" 4 times on your .70's once and Lord knows I  need  that extra practice !!!!!   :bl th up :bl th up :bl th up :bl th up :bl th up
