HELP!
« on: March 11, 2020, 02:53:35 PM »
Anybody ever had any dealings with Mr Leonard E. Day? I sent him a Lock for a rifle a while back for repair and I have a couple of numbers but can not make contact! :Doh! :o I have the number I spoke with him when I first contacted him but can't get an answer now! He's in Easthampton Maine and I think has a son that works with him. Any help most appreciated!

Thank you!

You might PM Hanshi; he lives in Maine and might be able to look Mr. Day up.

Also, give Dixon's a call as Mr. Day attended their ML Fair in 2017:  They should have contact information for him.

Hawken,

You may want to go over to the American Longrifle forum and ask there... Those guys would probably have more info then we do.

I did find this article about him. I didn't realize he's close to or already 86 years old.

particularly in business, there is no excuse for lack of communications, period.

in this case, it doesn't necessarily mean it's mr. day's fault if he died or has an extreme medical condition, but could be the fault of relatives or maybe it's just that there's no one to oversee and take care of mr. day's dealings and work.

At the bottom of their page is a phone number and email address.

Rob, You ever think about teaching a Business 101 Class?
Especially with businesses that are involved in our sport where so many little businesses are garage/hobby type, people just don't seem to know how to conduct themselves and reply promptly, especially to email/texts.  It's not all that difficult to send a reply to either.  I know that I don't care to make a phone call and much rather prefer to send an email.  So, answer the damn thing.  Don't leave me hanging, waiting for an answer.

I received a most welcome reply from Leonard Day Jr. this morning advising that the Lock I sent in for repair was being worked on and will be returned to me soon. The individual that received the Lock when delivered failed to send me a reply advising that it had been delivered. I figured since no notice that the Lock had been lost. Leonard E. Day Sr. is in the hospital at present and his recovery is at best doubtful! He is 87 years age at present! :o
