Cain's Outdoors

Thinking I could drive over to Cain's Outdoors in Vienna, WV for powder. I looked up the phone number and called.  Not a valid number.  Hmm. Pulled up the website from my bookmarks and got an Error 404, can't be found.  That's not good, sounds like they have closed.  Curses!  They used to be a big name in muzzle loading for their cast parts.  It's been probably 8 years since I was over there but they had lots of Goex on hand then.

WHAT?  Another victim of 2020.  Surely sorry to hear about that.  I have been doing business with him/them since at least the 1980's sometime.  Both as a supplier and also as a customer.  Must have been just before he passed, I bought a bunch of R/B moulds from him.  He said he was clearing out stuff from a friend who had died.  I noticed on another site that it had been a while since he had posted anything.  Was just thinking of that this morning.  RIP, Ed, you were a good man.

That used to be one of my favorite BP stores but it slowly changed over from traditional to inline. They still did the traditional thing on line but the only thing in the store was old stock that eventually went away. Haven't been there in a number of years so I lost track of what happened. I hadn't heard that he died.
